Nació en Oldenburg en 1976, estudió teatro, cine y
televisión en la UNIVERSIDAD DE COLOGNE. Después
de recibir su Licenciatura en Cine en el 2002, entró a
trabajar en BERLINALE como primer asistente del 2008
al 2014 como curador de programas y director adjunto
de Generación. Desde el verano de 2014Weghorn es el
encargado de de BERLINALE TALENTS y miembro del
comité de selección para la competencia de Berlinale.
Aparte del festival, ha trabajado como autor y editor de
varias publicaciones para cine y jóvenes.
Weghorn was born in Oldenburg, 1976, and studied
theatre, film and television studies at the UNIVERSITY OF
COLOGNE. After receiving an M.A. in film in 2002, he went
on to work for the BERLINALE, first as an assistant and
from 2008 to 2014 as a programme curator and deputy
head of Generation. Since summer 2014Weghorn is the
programme manager of BERLINALE TALENTS and also
a member of the selection committee for the Berlinale
Competition. Aside from the festival he has worked as
an author and editor of several publications for film and
young people.
