Actriz española. Ha trabajado con directores de renombre
como Pedro Almodóvar, Carlos Saura, Pilar Miró, Scott
McGehee, David Siegel y Oliver Hirschbiegel. Ha
participado en 110 películas entre las que destacan,
MATADOR (1986), ORQUÍDEA SALVAJE (1989), EL
MAESTRODE ESGRIMA (1992) y JOVENES Y BRUJAS
(1996). También ha realizado 38 series y 20 premios
internacionales como mejor actriz.
En teatro ha trabajado en la COMÉDIE FRANÇAISE en
la obra “El Ángel de la Información” de AMoravia. Ha
sido jurado en Festivales de cine internacionales como
Chicago, Venecia, Mar del Plata, Río de Janeiro, Montreal,
Cartagena de Indias, Bruselas, Roma, entre otras. Fue la
primera actriz española a quien se le concedió el honor
de pertenecer a AMPAS (ACADEMY OF MOTION
PICTURE ARTS AND SCIENCES), y es una de los cinco
actores españoles en activo que son miembros de la
Academia de Hollywood desde 1993.
Durante ocho años integró el Comité de selección de
los Oscars. Fue elegida para representar a España en
la Academia de cine Europeo (EFA) durante seis años.
Además de su labor docente, ha escrito dos libros sobre
técnicas de interpretación EL TRABAJODEL ACTOR
DE CINE y “Monólogos en V.O.”. Junto a Scott Cleverdon
escribe el libro: EL DIRECTOR Y EL ACTOR DE CINE.

Montreal, Cartagena de India’s, Brussels, Rome, among
others. She was the first Spanish actress who had the
honor of being part of AMPAS (ACADEMY OF MOTION
PICTURE ARTS AND SCIENCES) and also is one of the
five actors who are active members of the Hollywood
Academy since 1993.
For eight years she was part of the committee in the
Oscars selection, she was chosen to represent Spain in
the academy of European films (EFA). Besides her work as
a teacher, she has written two books about interpretation
techniques EL TRABAJODEL ACTOR DE CINE and
MONOLOGOS EN V.O. In collaboration with Scott
Cleverdon wrote the book EL DIRECTOR Y EL ACTOR
