Licenciado en teatro, formado
en cine de manera autodidacta.
Funda en 2008 el laboratorio
visual y escénico EL BIGOTE DE
CHAPLIN en donde realiza la
investigación y producción de
sus cortometrajes. Nominado al
premio Ariel a mejor cortometraje
animado (2013), becario del FONCA
como cineasta y seleccionado en
SIGGRAPH Computer Animation
Festival en 2012. Actualmente
trabaja pre producción de su primer
largometraje animado T.A.
Degree in theater, self-taught in
film. He founded the EL BIGOTE
DE CHAPLIN Visual and Scenic
Laboratory in 2008 where he does
the research and production of his
films. Nominated for the Ariel award
for best animated short film (2013),
scholar of FONCA as a filmmaker and
selected at SIGGRAPH Computer
Animation Festival in 2012. Currently
working on pre-production of his
first featured T.A. animated work.

GILDARDO
SANTOYO
Director de animación
Mexicano egresado de Diseño
de la Comunicación Gráfica
en la UAM y cuenta con una
especialidad en creatividad en la
Escuela de Diseño del INBA. Se ha
desempeñado realizando dirección
de arte, ilustración y dirección de
animación. Ganador en 2013 del
Concurso Nacional de Proyectos
de Cortometraje. Dirigió OLAS DEL
CIELO, ganador del FICMonterrey
y seleccionado en el FICG 30, el 13
FICM y el BFI London FF, entre otros.
Mexican graduate of Graphic
Communication Design in UAM
and has a specialty in creativity at
the School of Design of the INBA.
He has performed in art direction,
illustration and animation direction.
Winner of the National Short Film
Project Competition in 2013. He
directed OLAS DEL CIELO, winner
of FICMonterrey and selected
in the FICG 30, 13 FICM and
London BFI FF, among others.
