Master Class conWerner Herzog
Nació enMunich el 5 de septiembre de 1942. Se crió en un pueblo
de montaña remota en Baviera y de niño nunca vio ninguna pelí-
cula, la televisión o los teléfonos. Comenzó a viajar a pie desde la
edad de 14 años. Hizo su primera llamada telefónica a la edad de
17 años. Durante la escuela secundaria, trabajó el turno de noche
como soldador en una fábrica de acero para producir sus primeras
películas e hizo su primera película en 1961 a la edad de 19 años.
Desde entonces ha producido, escrito y dirigido más de cincuenta
películas, publicadomás de una docena de libros de prosa, y dirigi-
domuchas óperas.

WernerHerzog was born inMunichonSeptember 5, 1942. Hegrew
up in a remotemountain village in Bavaria and never saw any films,
television, or telephones as a child. He started travelling on foot
from the age of 14. He made his first phone call at the age of 17.
During high school he worked the nightshift as a welder in a steel
factory toproducehis first films andmadehis first film in1961 at the
age of 19. Since then he has produced, written, and directedmore
than fifty films, published more than a dozen books of prose, and
directed asmany operas.
